Yerevan says it has reached consensus with Baku on launching railway
Azerbaijan and Armenia have reached an agreement on the launch of the Yeraskh (Arazdayan) - Horadiz railway, Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan said at a briefing, Report informs via TASS.
"I think there is a final consensus on the launch of the Yeraskh-Horadiz railway section. All parties said that this is a good and possible solution at this stage," he said.
According to Grigoryan, Armenia and Azerbaijan have reached a common understanding that the unblocked regional communications will remain under the jurisdiction of the countries through which they pass.
"There is a very important consensus that the unblocking process begins with the resumption of the Yeraskh-Horadiz railway, which is very concrete and understandable. I think there is a final understanding that communications will be under the jurisdiction and sovereignty of the countries through which the railway will pass. This opinion is shared by all members of the trilateral working group (Azerbaijan, Russia and Armenia)," he said.
