A meeting of the working group on the group of educational specialties was held
The Ministry of Science and Education has established a Commission to develop new educational programs at the bachelor's (basic higher medical education) and master's degree
On May 22, a regular meeting of the working group on specialties was held at Azerbaijan Medical University.
Speaking at the event, the head of the Education Division, Associate Professor Kamandar Yagubov noted that the main issue of discussion was the preparation of master's degree specializations: "There are a lot of important changes in the admission of masters at the Faculties of Pharmacy and Public Health. These changes include the formation of planned places and the development of new curricula. Also, the bachelor's degree program in Public Health will be conducted for 4 years."
It was noted that Azerbaijan Medical University pays great attention to ensuring that the knowledge acquired by graduates meets the requirements of the labor market.
Co-chair of the Commission for new educational programs, Director of the Scientific Research Institute of Pulmonary Diseases Irada Akhundova said that important decisions had been made during the meetings. She expressed confidence that the changes would bring positive results in the training of bachelors and masters.
The meeting with the participation of officials and faculty of AMU continued with an exchange of views. Proposals for the development of new programs were put.
