Mastercard Recognized Among Global Leaders for Business Performance and AI Innovation
Mastercard has received two major global recognitions, being named among the world’s top 20 companies in TIME’s World’s Best Companies 2026 ranking and earning the 6th spot of the Fortune AIQ 75, which recognizes Fortune 500 companies pioneering artificial intelligence.
Together, the recognitions highlight two sides of Mastercard today: the strength of its business and workplace culture, and its ability to turn emerging technologies into practical solutions that create value for consumers, businesses and partners.
Among the world’s top companies
Mastercard has been named among the world’s top 20 companies in the TIME World’s Best Companies 2026 ranking.
Developed in partnership with Statista, the ranking evaluates leading global companies across three equally weighted areas: employee satisfaction, revenue growth and sustainability transparency. The assessment draws on employee feedback from around the world, companies’ revenue performance, and a range of environmental, social and governance indicators.
Mastercard’s place among the global top 20 reflects the strength of the company beyond financial performance — from the experience it creates for its people to its approach to responsible and sustainable growth. It also reflects a broader belief that long-term business success comes from creating value not only for customers and partners, but for the people and communities connected to the business.
The recognition follows Mastercard’s inclusion earlier this year in the TIME100 Most Influential Companies 2026 list, where it was also featured among the 10 most influential companies in the global finance sector.
Turning AI into real-world value
Mastercard has also recognized as the 6th of the Fortune AIQ 75, which looks at how effectively Fortune 500 companies are putting artificial intelligence into practice.
The ranking goes beyond AI investment alone, looking at how companies implement the technology and the value those investments create. Its assessment considers areas including AI implementation, return on investment, competitive advantage and governance. In 2026, it also evaluates the maturity, realized value and scale of companies’ AI-agent deployments.
For Mastercard, AI is already moving from potential to practical application. The company uses AI across its business to strengthen security, improve experiences and develop new ways for people and businesses to interact and transact. As AI becomes a greater part of everyday commerce, Mastercard remains focused on ensuring that innovation is built on trust and delivers meaningful value.
Together, these recognitions reflect a broader picture of Mastercard — a company combining strong business fundamentals with the ability to turn innovation into real-world value, while keeping trust at the heart of how commerce evolves.
In Azerbaijan, Mastercard continues to work closely with partners to bring its global expertise and innovation to the local market, supporting the development of a modern digital economy and helping make new forms of commerce more secure, accessible and trusted for consumers and businesses.
