SOCAR, Nakkas Holding eye investing in logistics, infrastructure of Sabiha Gokcen Airport

SOCAR Türkiye Enerji, the Turkish division of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), and Nakkas Holding have signed a long-term cooperation protocol, Report informs via the company's statement.
The document covers the development of railway logistics for SOCAR products and the establishment of an aviation fuel trading and storage facility at Sabiha Gokcen Airport. The protocol was signed by SOCAR Türkiye Enerji CEO Elchin Ibadov and Nakkas Holding Board Chairman Ramazan Ozturk.
This cooperation is viewed as a strategic step strengthening economic and trade ties between Azerbaijan and Türkiye.
The parties emphasized the importance of implementing such partnerships in the future, noting their desire to combine experience and expertise to develop projects that create economic added value.
Nakkas Holding was founded in 2023 and comprises 16 companies operating in four main sectors, such as oil and petroleum products, renewable energy, industrial investments, and mining industry for more than 40 years (Transpet Petrolculuk ve Enerji, GTS Investments BV, Global Terminal Services, SAVES Enerji, GGG Petrolleri, Be Aero, Turk Ytong and Nakkas Mining).
