By Birbank, “BakıKart” payments are now more profitable
The country’s first digital bank, Birbank, is launching a new campaign for QR payments with “BakıKart.” Passengers using the metro and buses in Baku and Absheron for the first time via QR tickets generated in the Birbank mobile app will receive 20% cashback. Those who have used this service before will earn 10% cashback, making their trips more affordable.
This campaign is valid until December 20, 2024 and applies only to QR tickets created on weekdays. Specifically, users traveling on December 2-6, 9-13, and 16-20 will have the chance to earn more cashback while using public transportation.

It’s worthy to mention that passengers can easily pay for metro and bus rides in Baku and Absheron without a physical card using QR tickets generated in the Birbank mobile app. Simply go to the “Payments & Transfers” section of the app, select “BakıKart,” choose the payment card and amount, and create your QR ticket.
Each QR ticket is valid for a single ride and must be used within one minute of generation. If unused within one minute, the deducted amount will be refunded to the user’s balance within 3-30 days. Ticket prices are aligned with “BakıKart” tariffs. Passengers can adjust fare amounts based on the route or generate multiple QR tickets as needed.
