Electricity production indicators for January-February were announced
According to operational data on electricity, electricity production in Azerbaijan amounted to 2194.4 million kWh, exports to 158.8 million kWh, imports to 10.1 million kWh in February 2021.
IN January-February 2021, electricity production in the republic amounted to 4560.8 million kWh. During the reporting period, electricity generation at TPPs decreased by 125.7 mln kWh reaching to 4364.2 mln kWh, at HPPs increased by 13.8 mln kWh reaching to 140.7 mln kWh, and at other sources (WPP, SPP and Solid household waste plant) amounted to 55.9 mln kWh in comparison with January- February last year. 15.07 mln kWh of electricity was generated at WPPs, 5.5 mln kWh at SPPs, and 35.34 mln kWh at the solid household waste incineration plant.
In January-February 2021 electricity generation made up 4121.2 mln kWh on "Azerenergy" OJSC ( 3993.3 mln kWh at TPPs, 127.9 mln kWh at HPPs), 54.1 mln kWh on State Energy Agency of Nakhchivan AR (37.9 mln kWh at TPPs, 11.1 mln kWh at HPPs, 5.1 mln kWh at SPP), 374.7 mln kWh on Independent PPs and 10.79 mln kWh at WPPs on Azerishig OJSC.
During the reporting period, electricity imports amounted to 21.1 mln kWh. 5.8 mln kWh was imported from Iran, 15.3 mln kWh from Russia, 0.02 mln kWh electricity from Georgia.
During this period, electricity exports increased by 6.2 mln kWh compared to the same period last year, amounting to 333.9 mln kWh. 5.9 mln kWh electricity was exported to Iran, 12.7 mln kWh to Turkey, 14.7 mln kWh to Russia, 300.6 mln kWh to Georgia.
